Clode is the world's number one design agent, but its biggest threat just dropped and you could be now wasting hundreds of dollars. And in this video, I'm going to compare Claude with its greatest new challenger, Kimmy K3, across three levels of design to show you what is better and cheaper. And at the end of this video, you will have the best design system available today, saving you time and getting you light years ahead of everybody else. But Claude is an incredible model, hence why it is almost impossible to defeat it. It sits at top the design throne.
Kind of like King Joffrey, some may say, is a bad analogy, but you get the idea. With Claude, as we know, we can design anything to sites, decks, graphics, a million things. I don't need to tell you about the credentials of Claude. You get it. The history is that lots have tried to defeat Claude design, but no one ever really came close.
called Fable 5 in particular is just a a cut above everybody else. However, there's a brand new model that just dropped by Kimmy K3. And when I saw this, my first question was, is this legit or is this just another Yeah, this model's now the best. I really wanted to put it through its paces to make sure they were always using the best model possible. Now, the first thing to bear in mind with this new model is its pricing.
It's roughly about 30% the price of Fable 5, but we don't want a benchmark queen. We want someone that actually delivers, that is quick, that is high quality, and is going to save us money. So, what we're going to be doing today is actually looking at what I would call the moat for design. And so, we want a great model with fantastic taste. We want to build our design systems, our skills, and use the right harness to make it into stellar.
So, we're going to put it through three levels: slides, dashboards, and websites. And we're going to be judging for output, cost, and speed. So, whether you're using a agent or cl code, you're going to absolutely crush it with what happens here. And we'll be fair, the results are surprising. So you definitely want to do that.
And if you're new to this stuff, by the way, I'm Jack. I build in some tech startup with like a gazillion customers. And I share stuff like this on the channel. So if you want the latest AI stuff, feel free to drop a comment and subscribe and let me know how you get on with this sort of stuff. It really helps out the channel.
Now, the first thing I want to do, we're going to come out the gates swinging. We're not going to play softball today. We're going to make it really difficult. So what I wanted to do to test this realistically is to get it to build as a deck. I'm gonna ask it to do research on a brand, find everything out about that brand, and not only build us an actual HTML deck.
I'm going to use one that's actually going to communicate and speak. So, I want it to be able to narrate over the deck. I want a HTML presentation with a full deck for brand on there. And so, the prompt is simple. It's a blind design test.
I want to build me a beautiful self-running HTML slide presentation that introduced my company, Glider. I explain what Glider is. I say I want to use six slides. one's going to be basically self-contained HTML rich visual design and then I also wanted it to use a texttospech system to actually create that audio over it and to use Kimmy K3 what we're going to do is get an API key from open router.com and effectively I'll put a skill down below that you can download upload to claude and just say hey open up claude code powered by kimmyk and it will open up a new terminal and that terminal will look something like this is powered by claude code you can also do this in the app and as you can see open return moonshot AI Kim K3 which means we're using the full click code harness with this cool model. But before we can actually go ahead and proceed to this challenge, we need to know exactly how we're going to technically so that you can replicate this exact thing and unlock the really cool use cases.
We're going to be using something called fish audio with a brand new model. The reason why we're going to be using them, a couple of reasons actually. One is the fact they're like 80% cheap in 11 Labs. They can clone your voice with like 10 to 30 seconds of audio. I'll show what that looks like live time.
They let you add emotion. So, when we're creating packs or presentations and we're testing Kimmy and Claude, we can do so with emotions. Um, basically they've got over 83 languages and it is super duper cheap to get started. So, before I show you how it should build it, let's go check out the results. So, here we have the first one.
This is from Fable 5. Again, this was built on high. So, let's listen to what it sounds like. >> Welcome to Glider. We're a voice first AI assistant built on one simple promise.
Speak and it's done. Our mission is one sentence. You you just say it out loud, move the meeting, draft the update, book the flight, and GLO carries it out end to end. Three moves. >> This is cool.
I really like what they've done here with the animation like the move my meeting 3 p.m. Salam draft investor update. Again, all this audio as well just really enhances it, which I think is fantastic. People whose ideas move faster than the fingers and it's really got the brand identity down. So, I'm super impressed with that.
Speak and it's done. Final slide is done. Very good. One shot. So let's now go take a look at what Kimmy K3 did and then I'll show you exactly how you reverse engineer to build this exact thing.
So here we have the GLD onboarding. Let's go to slide one and check this one out. >> This is the world's fastest dictation. The voice layer for every app you already use. From today you don't have to type to do your best work.
Keyboards were never the bottleneck. Typing is. Here's what that sounds like. You speak naturally as halfformed thought. >> I like that the narration's good.
I like the fact that they've got this kind of like nice use case that's like shown on the website. I think that's really clear. I like that it's kind of branched out this way in three different sections. It's good. I think it's really good.
And you can see it's played out nicely and it's driving a lot of design and look and feel from the actual website itself. And as a joke, I was really tempted to ask it to use this Morgan Freeman one here. >> Life isn't about the destinations we reach. >> I think it would have had a level of gravitas. funnily enough though, Claude Fable 5, and this is a really important point I have to drill down into here, would not do that.
It has a set of ethical guard rails and just would outright refuse it. But other models may have a slightly different point of view. Not saying we want to go ahead and use Morgan Freeman for everything, but I just want to say that like, you know, if you cross Fable 5's ethics and it doesn't like what you ask it to do, it will say no to you. Now, the cool thing that I did here with this, by the way, is I integrated a voice system by giving one simple platform. Let me just explain what that is.
I use something called fish audio for this which is crazy. Now this is really freaking cool. So one of the things that you can do with fish audio and the reason I use it specifically is that you can actually specifically um when you're building these presentations whether you're using Fable 5 or Kimmy actually how you want it to sound. So for example this is an eagle to give you an example what it sounds like and you can temper what it sounds like by adding in like these kind of like um commands how I want you to say the thing. So, for example, if I come down here and play this one, for instance.
>> Hey, why are you sitting here all alone in the corner? >> It's quite sultry. You get the idea, right? But effectively, we can pick from all these different voices. It's really freaking cool.
This is exactly how we built these things out. One of the cool things you can do as well is actually build out your own voice. So, if you go to professional voice clone and you upload like 10 to 20 small clips and Claude can help you with this, you can actually get a full clone of your own voice on this system, which is decent. You can do an instant voice clone, uh, voice design. I mean, if I just did one here very quickly, just to show you what I mean.
The reason why this is cool is we can build presentation decks for any brand that we want to and actually have our own voices on it, which is incredible. So, for example, let's give it a 15-second one right here. Beautiful. Okay. And we've got that there.
And you can just upload this. Go through the process. And then you're ready to rock and roll. I can even click on ready to analyze once you've got through enough like basically tags. So, if you've got films and footage, you can upload that and you can build up your own voice.
And then once you actually do this, you can give it like multiple clips. The more clips that you give it, the better. And this is such a hack for building anything, whe it's on your website or presentations, any design systems. You can describe what it is. You can make this publicly available.
I just use this myself personally. So, I go for private on this. I confirm my permission. Come one down and then click on create. And so, you can actually test these when you're doing it in the app or Claude can do the entire thing for you instantaneously.
So, you write down what you want. Hey, go ahead and create me uh could be 15 different ideas. I click on generate a speech. Hey, go ahead and do me a favor and create 15 different ideas. Beautiful.
I know it's absolutely fantastic. Now I can basically get all my own overview. So if you were sending Loom videos or presentations, you could be like, "Hey, quick quick ask. Here's the thing." So you can see how this opens up so many possibilities. And the other thing, if you're doing video editing, you can also drop in any of the sound effects.
So like laser beams, engine starts, whatever you want to. It's in this platform. It's very cool. And so you can literally come back to Claude or Kimmy and say, "Hey, do me a favor and redo the voice on that presentation with Jack Roberts or whatever your voice is and it can redo that presentation for us." And then Claude will basically update that presentation with your own voice. So I'll just unmute this calendar inbox tools and quietly confirms when it's done.
So you get the idea. It can do that. That was a 30 seconds of audio. It is crazy. So, it took Fable 5 21 minutes to build that deck and it took Kimmy K3 23.3 minutes.
The tokens for Fable 5 were like three times larger. But what is the actual price and cost of that? Well, for Fable 5, it would have been $35. Kim K3 $10.70. So, I would have said that Kimmy K3 edged that design, but the price is about a third of it.
So, round one, I have to decisively give that to Kimmy K3. Then this takes us very nicely onto the second level, the flight dashboard. A really cool one. So I'm in Budapest right now and I'm going to be shooting to Montenegro for an AI conference in a week time. So I could really do with a very handy dashboard, right?
Cuz like we don't use dashboards too much these days. So let's go ahead and do one. And what I wanted to do is basically I just gave it a really simple prompt for this. I basically said look build a beautiful informationrich HTML travel dashboard. Here's some facts.
Go and build this. If imagery elevator use a like a hixel CLI to basically go ahead and build this. And by the way, if this sounds like I'm speaking Spanish, I'll put a link down below for my full Claude code master class that will take you from foundations, building websites, power features, everything you need to know stuff I've never shared on my channel. It's the most comprehensive cla code course I' I've ever built and ever. It's crazy.
As well as full access to the CL code, Aentic OS, as well as the Hermes OS. You can download there, too. So, this one here has been designed by Fable 5 High. We got some good details. And bear in mind, these are oneshot designs.
The third one is going to blow your mind by the way when you see the difference and what happened with this. It's it's very interesting. So we've got a hungry to Montenegro thing. I think it's fairly, you know, basic. Nothing crazy.
Nothing out of the kind of like norm there. I guess it's got the information down which is cool. Um I like the fable trend oneway basic. It's cool. It shows me pricing.
That's fantastic. It's giving me ideas on the temperature. It's actually very helpful to know. And I come down. I can see it's it's built a fairly decent, I'd say, dashboard.
I think that's fairly fine. Then let's take a look at what we got over here then with our Kimmy K3. So I like the fact that it's taking the initiative to get a image. I think that's cool. They both added this kind of like a tob thing which is more symbolic than anything.
It's tried to add a little bit more imagery. I think it's a little bit easier to understand. Again they've captured the the price there. They've got the forecast for rate um of I guess what is this the trend for fairs. Overall honestly speaking I don't know.
Let me know your thoughts down below on who you think you who thinks who you think is winning this one. But if I had to say Yeah, this is crazy. I've even got a dynamic um packing checklist here. We didn't get that actually from Fable 5 if I'm super duper honest. We didn't get a checklist.
Oh, we did. My bad. We got the checklist down here. It's cool. It is.
I just didn't quite see it on the first attempt. Interesting. Yeah, I think if I had to say I would say that Kimmy edges it, but honestly, I would say that this is really really well balanced. It's tough to tell them apart, but let's come over and see how they differ then in price and time. So, the build time, this took Fable 5 8.9 minutes and Kimmy K3 25 minutes, guys.
Honestly, I had a number two haircut when I started this video and by the time Kim K3 finished, it was actually done. So, it was crazy. It actually hit its 1 million context window cap. So, that was quite wild, actually. But, it did that.
So, 8.9 minutes uh a lot faster. Way way way way faster. And then let's look at the price. So for example on Claude $1480 Kimmy K3 $940. So you know it was a little bit cheaper.
I guess you would say it was 50% cheaper but it was about three times as slow. So you know basically make your own decisions based on what you think is worth in terms of time and speed. Um it is a little slow. That's the one thing about Kim K3 is the time. We didn't get that on challenge one but challenge two we did.
And this one takes us on to the third and biggest challenge which is building a website. Now, I'm going to go ahead and use a free website skill down below that I built my last video. If you haven't checked that out, you need to go and watch this video. It is ridiculous. So, you want to come down here and go ahead and download the skill right here, which is the Fable 5 website skill.
It'll come down as a zip, and all you're going to do is head over to color code. You're going to select the Fable 5 skill and click on open like so. And if you're building this with Kimmy, all you would do is just in the same chat window that you added my the skill I gave you earlier, you're just going to say, "Hey, write me a prompt for this." And then basically in the terminal, you can say, "Hey, use my downloaded skills to go ahead and build them." Now, this is what Fable 5 did. This is called Pulp. This is um all done in one shot.
As you can see, it comes down. Look at this. This is crazy decent. Come down. Fable 5 designed this.
Bednight Crush, Grim Blind, Barry Rising, Manga Mayhem. This is a tool order to beat. And it spit, this skill, by the way, spits them out one at a pop. That's how good this is. This website cost about $10.
$10 in um video credits. Go ahead and build. Again, I'll put a link earlier so you can go and grab this to see how good it is. Let's take a look at what we got from Kimmy K3. So, here we have a brand.
This one is a chocolate one. Basically, when you download the skill, ask questions like, "What do you want it to be about? What's it going to look like? Do you want video?" So, this is about a chocolate brand. So, let's take a look at what we're dealing with here.
So, we're going to come down and we've got a beautiful thing there. We're going to scroll down. I like it. And then the chocolate bar appears. And then we have more details.
Very cool. I mean, it's actually very fresh. You can see if you were selling chocolate, you got this thing. You zoom in. You got the thing here.
Beautiful. Go down and we can have a look at everything there. Very, very tasty. I think the animation could be a little smoother. A tiny little bit smoother.
I think it would be really cool. But I like I come down. I've got a story. It begins under the canopy. I come down.
The pod splits on its own time. All right. I'm getting bought. This is where we get chocolate from. And then we dial it in.
Let's have a look. Seeds fall into the fire. Uh, ember becomes river. And then what happens at the bottom? The chocolate comes down and then we have our chocolate.
Very, very, very cool. You know, I would say that they're both fantastic websites. If I had to give you my personal preference, I would have to go with the pulp, but I think they're very similar. I would say that Claude had a bill to keep this a little bit smoother, but I think if I follow back up with a problem like, hey, make this smoother, it would have been just as good a job. But I I think these are on the same level.
I think ultimately they are the same level. Look at the design expertise. Look at the journey. It's crazy. It's a very very very impressive website.
And if you were selling chocolate website and you turned up to a client with this, this wasn't built Fable 5. That's how good it is. And by the way, that prompt, I spent so many hours on that and so many dollars. So please, please do use that. It is completely for free and it'll help you if you want to build one of these kind of websites.
So what did this cost us in Kimmy to do? Well, it took it a whopping 67.8 eight minutes to do it. Um, which is pretty uh pretty timely since you let it rock and roll in the background. Claw by contrast was around 20 or so minutes. And the final cost of this was around $19.32 of Kimmy credits to do that.
Now, whilst this was only $19 on Kimmy K3, if that would have been done on Claude Fable 5, that would have been around $80 plus for that exact system, which is why you most likely would have delegated to subm models. But at the Kimmy prices, if you're building these at scale, you could let that run a little further. And so this is actually incredible news. We now have a model that is on par with the best design agent on the planet. Some say that a I think they distilled honestly Fable 5 and kind of like hacked it that way.
The reality is it is cheaper. However, it often takes more tokens to get that. The upshot of that basically means that it's still cheaper, but not quite as cheap as you thought it was. The play therefore is to use Fable 5 as part of your Claude subscription. And once that ends for your super high lever things, I would then tag in this Kimmy K3 model unless it's something that you can accomplish with Opus 4.8.
So if you're running on API, it makes sense to use Kimmy K3. I can't believe we're saying it. Fable 5 only dropped recently, but that's how quick these things are currently evolving, and I'm super impressed with them. So now we know the difference between Kimmy K3 and Fable 5, the powerful Claude model. The next thing that we need to do is learn how to actually use this technology to build something absolutely beautiful.
a website that can sell for thousands and thousands of dollars, which we're going to learn right now in this video right
