If you feel like the mobile app market is too competitive or building an app is just too complicated, take a look at this app. This is the Taichi app for beginner seniors. They're operating in the most competitive fitness niche, competing with the big guys like Cali and Fitness Pal, but they managed to carve out a small tiny segment instead of that niche and still make 100K per month. And what surprised me is actually how basic the app is. You can see it's just a list of exercises. They got a timer and a progress tracker, yet they're still pulling in six figures a month. So, how do they do that? Now, I did a full tear down of this app. I figured out how they're marketing their app, their exact keywords that they're using to rank in the app store, and I actually found a few weaknesses in their app that you could exploit if you were to build something like this. So, I'm going to break down all of this in this video. And not only that, but I'm going to show you how I was able to rebuild the entire app using AI without writing a single line of code. I'm going to walk you through how I did everything step by step. So, let's dive in. But before I show you how to build this, I want to spend a couple minutes on the idea itself, right? Because with all this AI tools that we have today, building is actually the easy part now. But finding the right idea is where I see a lot of people get stuck. So I want to show you how I found this app and why it's so successful. Now most people when they look for app ideas, they tend to follow the trend, right? They're just trying to copy what the bigger players are doing. But the people behind this app did the exact opposite. So they took the most crowded niche in the app store, which is fitness niche, and instead of competing directly with the big players, they asked one simple question, right? Who is being ignored here? And the answer is people over 60, right? Seniors. So, think about it. These people, they have time, they have money, and their doctors is probably telling them to exercise. It is a huge audience with money that a lot of people are ignoring. And you'll see that most of the fitness apps out there are designed for 25 year olds doing yoga or Pilates, right? And what's interesting is that they're not just one lucky app. There's also another app that actually just launched called Tai Chi Walking and Chair Yoga. They're doing 40K per month. And we also have yoga, taichi, pilates, which is more established and they're doing $300,000 a month. So, there's definitely demand for this. But I think the lesson here is you don't have to try to invent a new idea. You can just find a market that's already proven to have demand and see if there's any small portion of that audience that is being ignored. Now, I actually did a full comprehensive analysis of the app, and you guys can download this for free. You can see exactly how they're marketing the app. You can see their best performing videos on social media, the meta ads that they're running. And we also scrape thousands of comments from the app store to see what users are complaining about, which can become your opportunity if you want to make a better version. And most importantly, who are the existing players in this niche and how much they're making. And here you can see that there's this guy who saw this idea launched his own version of the app and he's already at 10K per month. So if you want to get a copy of this, I'm going to have this linked in the description below. Now, without wasting any more time, let's start the build. All right. So, to build this app, I'm going to use this AI tool called Base 44. So, I've been hearing a lot about this tool, and I've been wanting to try it out for the longest time. So, this app has over 300,000 users and making $3.5 million in revenue. So, a lot of people are using this, and some people are building apps that are generating 100K and a million dollars. So, I want to put this to the test to see if the app is really good. Now, just for full transparency, I did reach out to B44 if they wanted to sponsor the video, and they said yes. But even though they're sponsoring this video, all of the opinions that you're going to hear are going to be my own. So if something's really good, I'm going to point them out. And at the same time, if there's any limitation, I'll also mention that as well. And towards the end of the video, I'll probably answer the biggest question on everyone's minds. Is it better than cloud code? Or when should you use one tool over another? So let's get into it. Now, if you're trying this for the first time, you want to sign up for an account. They do have a free plan. So you can start playing around with this for completely free. But once you're in the dashboard, you're going to be ready to enter your first prompt. So, I can say something like this. Hey, build me a similar iOS mobile app. Call it Taichi Flow. And I want to have the same features like this app here. And I'm just going to grab the link to this page here so it can reference all the design, research all the features before it actually builds it out. And I'm just going to paste the URL back here. And I'll also say create at least 10 exercises and character illustrations for each exercise. I want to add a countdown timer for each exercise. And I want you to use the attached screenshot as design reference. And make sure you follow the typography, all the colors, and all the UI elements. And I want you to plan this out before you build anything. Now, with anything that I build, I always want to give it a design reference so it doesn't give me like a random design or colors that I don't like. So, I went to Dribble and I found this design that I think will work well for our Taichi app. I think this looks really good with the colors and everything. So, I just saved this to my computer and I'll just add this to the prompt just like that. Now, before we send it off, I want to show you that we can also select the model here. So, they do have all the latest models like Fable 5, GBT 5.6, Sen 5, but they also have an auto mode where if you're confused on which model to use, you can select auto mode which will actually choose the best model to perform each request for you. And I've been using this and it's been working really well. Now, you also want to select plan mode here because what we're trying to do here in step number one is actually to plan it, right? I want to see the plan first. I want to see all the features that it's going to build, the colors, and if it understands my intent here before I build anything. So, I'm going to hit go and in just a couple of seconds, it gives you a plan here. So, I'm going to click view and I can see the detail plan here. And you can see all the pages that it's going to build. And if I scroll down more, it's going to use this color palette here, which which is based on the reference design that I provided. And if I scroll down a bit more, you're going to see all the exercises that it's going to do. And it took this from the link here, so it knows where to pull information from. So this looks pretty good to me. So I'm just going to hit start building and just wait a couple minutes for it to finish. All right. So in a couple minutes, the app is ready. So you can see the dashboard here. It's built out for me. So, we've got the progress bar with this cool animation here. I love that. And of course, all of this is dummy data, but I think the colors are really good because because I did give it a reference design from here. And it followed the colors and the typography from this layout here. And if I click on plan here, I've got all the basically exercises and my weekly plan. You can see that they've added this character image here, which is really cool as well. And let's click on start practice. All right. So, you can actually pick whether you want to do like a 7second exercise or 10 second. All right. So, there's a countdown timer and there's also audio here which I'm going to mute for now. And if I click on the next exercise. Yeah. So, I think this is really good in the first pass. It's got everything. You can basically follow this and you can log this when you're done. Okay. So, day 13 complete. How do you feel? Uh, great. And save it. View progress. And it's actually save in the progress here right there. So perfect. It actually works. Now I'm actually going to show you a bit later on how to get this prototype on your mobile device. So you can actually test out everything. But now there's one thing that I don't like here or something we can improve on, right? Which is the exercise here. So this is a static image where I think it'll be just nice to have this character animate. So the user can actually follow the exercise. Right now I've already done this earlier. So I went to a third party video generation tool and took this image here and animated it into a video. So it looks something like this. So I can basically take this videos here, drop it into B 44 and ask it to replace the images with this moving character animation. Now there's one detail that you want to pay attention to which is the file type here. There's an MP4 version and also a web M version, right? So, what you want to grab is actually the webm version here, which gives you a transparent background cuz if you send it, the MP4 version is going to take in the black background or the white background that you see here. So, we don't want that, right? So, you want to just grab the web M version of all these exercises and just drop it here. And then I can say, hey, replace the static characters with this animated ones. Make sure that the background is transparent so it blends nicely into the app. And also make sure the video is a loop. So we have a continuous movement for each exercise. And then I'm just going to send it off. All right. So it looks like this is done. That was quick. So that's one thing that I noticed with B 44 is that just performing that task that I just asked it to do just took about 30 seconds. And with my experience with cloud code or codeex, it would take a lot longer, like maybe a couple minutes. So that's just something that I noticed that is pretty impressive with B 44 here. So if I go down here, let me check if the animation is working. Let's start meditation. So that is definitely moving. And if I click on the next exercise, there you go. So it added all our animation and it actually loops. So if I click on the next exercise here and yeah, that that is perfect. Now, of course, there are things that I think can be improved. So if you notice here, I think the timer is sitting too close to the button here. So this is something that you can ask it to change as well. So, there's a button called edit here where you can click and then you can just select the item that you want to edit. Maybe you want to change the colors real quick or you want to change the size or the font or whatever it is. They have a bunch of tools here. Or you can even click here to regenerate the designs and it's going to ask you what you want. You want different color, you want different layout or things like this. Right now, if you notice up here, there's a second tab called dashboard. So this is actually one of the strengths of B 44 where whatever app that you build it already comes with the backend built out for you. And what do I mean by back end? So things like database, your domain. So you can actually see all the data from all your members right here on the platform. So you don't have to connect to a third party database. And you can also manage your users here uh whether they on a paid plan or the free plan. You can even manage your SEO here right on the platform. So if you want to build an app very quickly, I think this will save a lot of time from figuring out everything individually. All right. So what we have here is the mobile app, right? So why don't we take this to the next level and let's say you're a fitness instructor and you want to build a dashboard to manage your members, right? You want to build a web application where you can see all your members activities, all their exercises, what they're struggling with, things like this. So I can say something like this. Can you build me a companion app for the Taiichi instructor where they can see all the members data? I want to see at least 10 members but just use dummy data. I want to be able to see all the metrics that are available in my members application and I also want to see a dashboard where I can monitor all the members activities and I'll just fast forward and here is the dashboard that it was able to build for me. So this is a web application obviously and here you can see all the members activities the progress how many days they've been active the recovery things like this right so you can imagine how valuable something like this would be for someone like a fitness coach to be able to see all this data and even though what you're seeing here is just dummy data but all of this is stored in one database that is being shared between the instructor and also the members. So all the data here they sync right and you can even customize the app for specific instructors and even brand it for their own program right and you just saw how quickly I was able to build something like this. Now I want to go back to the mobile app here and I want to show you how easy it is to get this on your phone so you can preview it. So to do that you can just hit publish here and then you can hit publish and then you want to grab this link here and you want to open it on your phone. All right. So, I've got the phone here and I've pasted this link here in the URL where you can see it here. I'm just going to refresh this. So, this is my Safari browser on my iPhone. And you can already see the app here, but this is still on my browser, right? So, I just want to click on this and hit share. And then you want to add this to home screen. So, you can see the app icon and open it up as a real app. So, click on this. And you can see that it's created an app here called Taichi. So, I'm going to click on this and then it will open up as a new app. And this is not a browser. As you can see, there's no URL bar here. And you can just test it out as if this is a real app. Go to the next tab. You can see all the pages here. And then the progress also works. So that is how you preview the app on your phone. Now once you're happy with your app and you want to publish it, B44 also makes it really easy for you to prep your app to get it ready for the app store. So you can hit publish here and you can see that second tab, it says mobile app. You can go here and it can help you prepare for submission to the app store. So you can click on check your app and it will actually run an app scan to see if everything is compliant with app store guidelines. So you can click on this and it's going to tell you if you have any errors on your app and it came back with the result here. So it has some issues primarily regarding the animated videos and the dark mode, right? So it's got the full report of everything. So it's matching everything against the app store guidelines. So, what you can do here is you can click fix with AI and it added all those automatically into the chat here and all you need to do is hit generate and the AI will fix everything for you which is really cool. All right, so final thoughts on this and I want to answer the question of who is B 44 actually for? So, I think B 44 is definitely for people who want to get a prototype fast without having to figure out how to add a database, payment system, security, etc. uh you can build a fully working app in just under an hour. Or if you are a service provider, maybe you're a fitness coach and you want to build an internal tool to manage your clients, you don't want to figure out CL code, worry about security issues, how to add a database, things like this. I think B4 is perfect for that cuz like you've seen, it comes with all the backend built out for you. So you can see all your users here. Analytics is built in, SEO is built in, domains, integrations, everything is built in for you. So you don't have to figure this out individually. Plus, if you don't know what to build and you want to get ideas, you can you can browse from the app templates that they have. You can even use this as a starting point for your app. Now, who is this not for? So, obviously, if you're a developer, you're going to be using cloud code or codeex as it's more customizable. You can pick and choose the database provider that you want where your app should be hosted. You can customize every single thing about your app. or even if you're not a developer, but you're willing to learn on how to put all the pieces together and you want more control and more customizations. I think you'll be better off building everything from scratch with Cloud Code. But if you want to give B4 a try, they do have a free trial and their lowest plan starts $16 a month and you can upgrade as you need more credits. And I'm going to leave the sign up link down below. And if you guys made it to the end this video, thanks again for watching. Don't forget to subscribe.
