Quinn 3.8, everybody's favorite, the new 27B that's coming out in 20 hours is it's going to be awesome and I'm looking forward to it. I know you're looking forward to it. This is going to redefine probably local AI. And this is just the perfect time for my window AC to have gone out and instead of being something that helped cool this place, it's now a giant Can you see that temperature on this screen? It's now a giant portal for heat to come into this area.
So, I've got some problems as a result of this. And I have been really just trying to get things working today. Any anyhow possible. We had this little 7,000 BTU unit, not at all capable of cooling this entire area. So, I thought, well, I'll just get it kind of That's a That's a dog door.
So, that's actually the dog door right there. That is kind of the vent that I'm using. It works. It's not great. It works.
What's really not great is this hose is not long enough to get into the actual server area. And that right there is a big problem. Especially because this thing doesn't shoot air directly out one direction. It like radiates it out like in all patterns. So, this is not keeping it cool in here either.
As a matter of fact, in here right now, it's right around 85 degrees. So, that's not even a good temperature. As soon as you get outside of like this area right here, now that has always been loud. I have never liked the level of noise that it brings. This thing is even louder by a hell of a lot.
So, you know, this is exactly the kind of thing that you don't want to have happen when you're a YouTuber because this right here means I might not be able to produce a video on the Quinn 3.8 when it drops. That's not acceptable to me. I had been meaning to switch out the new Thread Ripper 3945WX on my WRX80 Creator 2. This is a ASRock motherboard and I've been meaning to swap that out for the MZ32 AR0. So, I'm going to do that, but I'm going to do that in a different way.
I'm gonna actually go back to the old frame. That way, I can portably bring that thing out here and that way it can be out here where the cool air is, where I am, and that should be able to get me by. I do want to get a mini split. I have not taken time to research mini splits and I can do the installation myself. I'm certain of that.
But definitely I need like a two-tonon unit to keep this entire garage about 500 ft cool. Especially with the way that I had everything engineered really that cool air kind of needs to hit the front here, be sucked into the back. That's part of the airflow design of this entire area, which was not just some willy-nilly thing. That, however, after four years dying, is definitely throwing a kink into things. So, I'm gonna get this motherboard onto the old rack frame, just the portable nice one.
We're going to toss the 43090s and a 4090 on it. But boy, I'll tell you what, it's hot. It's August. And of course, this is the worst time for this to happen with 20 hours until that Quinn 3.8 drop. Got a lot of work to do.
